The Taipei Film Academy has long been devoted to the development of Taiwan’s film and television industry. To promote Taiwan’s new media industry, the XR workshop will make a strong comeback as well. Director Huang Hsin-Chien is once again invited as a lecturer. During the workshop, Huang will share many of his international exhibition experiences and other major production plans. The participants will also have a chance to experience “Samsara Ep.1!”

Congratulations to the Taipei Film Commission for a resounding success! AIT was honored to participate in the 2020 Taipei Film Academy. We co-hosted a virtual Master Class on Sep. 22, with over 100 participants having the chance to hear from Oscar-winning producer Andrea Meditch’s thoughts on “Finding the Heart of the Story in Documentary Film.” At the star-studded final ceremony, CAO Luke Martin thanked the Taipei Film Commission for its long-term dedication to the international exchange of film professionals and noted that “the strength of the U.S.-Taiwan relationship is due, in large measure, to the people-to-people ties that have been forged over many years.” AIT is looking forward to hope more of these kind of activities!

Tuesday, September 22nd, from 9:00-10:30 PM, we are honored to be meeting with award-winning film producer Andrea Meditch! AIT is delighted to partner with the State Department’s American Film Showcase and the Taipei Film Commission to co-host this virtual Master Talk, which is also the first forum on documentary filmmaking by the Taipei Film Academy. During the presentation, Meditch, offering a live talk from Washington DC, will share her rich and valuable industry experience, encouraging filmmakers to find the heart of the story in documentaries.
