去朋友開的義大利餐廳晚膳。食物水平十年如一日，永遠保持應有的高水準。但服務嘛，卻有點下調的跡象。唔！看來，得跟老友反映一下了。男友說：唏！妳這一來，服務員們可會遭殃的，這不是斷人衣食，慘過殺人父母嗎？我可不認同，那好友的生意，餐廳的聲譽，就不管了嗎？有批評，才有進步，眼看著多年好友的知名餐廳，服務出了問題，身為朋友卻視而不見，那還算那門子的朋友？我只知道，如果我們「活學」任何一方面做得不好，有熱心人肯跟我反映，我一定會感激流涕的。

Dining out at a good friend's popular Italian restaurant, we were glad to find that the food was unfailingly scrumptious, but the service, unfortunately, had gone a tad downhill. When I mentioned I would give my friend a little feedback on the not-so-up-to-par service, my boyfriend suggested I just let the issue rest thinking that my doing so would cost the staff's their jobs and ruin their livelihoods.
