【防災救援倡議：宣導教育—建立韌性—採取行動】
當前的世界各國面臨諸多跨國挑戰。本著美台在人道援助及災害防救領域的穩健合作，美國在台協會推出「防災救援倡議活動：宣導教育—建立韌性—採取行動」（HADR）系列活動，期望能夠提升公眾對災難的認識，並支持台灣內外強化個人及社區的災害防救能力。
AIT美國公民服務組上個月與台北市政府官員一同觀摩市政府年度災害防救演習。超過1,400人在動物園站堤外停車場周圍參加了共計32項演習。觀摩項目包括災防告警訊息發布、地震及土石流災害搶救、飛機迫降救援、火警搶救及有毒物質處置等。AIT很高興能與台北市政府合作，進一步強化社區危機處理能力，並強調設立災難應對系統的重要性。
【Partners in HADR: Awareness – Resilience – Action】
Nowadays the world faces many challenges that are transnational in nature. Building upon the robust U.S.-Taiwan cooperation in the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) space, AIT’s “Partners in HADR: Awareness – Resilience – Action” campaign aims to raise public awareness and support activities that foster personal and community resilience within and beyond Taiwan.
AIT American Citizen Services representatives joined Taipei municipal government officials in observing the city’s annual disaster prevention exercises last month at the embankment parking lot near Taipei City Zoo. More than 1,400 participants took part in a total of 32 drills. Activities viewed included disaster prevention and warning message release, earthquake and landslide rescue operations, aircraft forced landing rescue, firefighting operations and toxic material disposal. AIT is delighted to work with Taipei City to further strengthen community crisis management capabilities and stress the importance of disaster response systems.
