    (Eng below) 目前正在繪製的台北小區圖。回顧我的舊照片，我發現這名男騎士載著我見過最扯的巨大物件，一根20英呎的棒狀物!我很讚嘆他過人的平衡感!幸好他沒有飆車，而且在轉角就停了下來。 他身後有一群人正在做區域性消毒，早在新冠2020以前，每幾個月就都有專人以噴灑設備來此消毒。大概是在防鼠防蟲，如果你們有人知道，歡迎告訴我。我猜它有一定效果，我已經好幾年沒在這看到一隻蟑螂了!通化南端似乎有一批房舍屬於政府管轄，這一區有低矮村舍的美感，除了在行天宮一帶住了幾週外，這是我長住的第一個社區。

    A small part of the Taipei neighborhood drawing I'm currently making. I looked back in my old photos to find the most ambitious thing I've seen someone carry on a scooter here and it has to be this guy with his 20ft pole! I was quite amazed at the balance! Fortunately he wasn't driving fast and he pulled it up at corners. Behind him some people are disinfecting the neighborhood. Even before this past year people came around with spray machines every few months. I think they're preventing roaches or rats. If you guys know I'm curious to find out. I guess it works, I haven't had a roach for years! The south end of Tonghua has groups of 2 floor houses that I think belong to the government. They give that area a nice low rise village feel. Apart from a couple of weeks in an area near Xingtian Temple this was the first part of Taipei I lived in (and I still live around here).

    每天都畫著。我的工作空間很簡單。希望十月到我的新的畫會畫好了。

    In front of the drawing board every day at the moment. It's a pretty simple workspace, no need to rent a studio unless I start using messy paints more. I'm hoping this piece will be ready in October but there's so much to add into it may be longer

    (Eng below) 我花了好一陣子籌劃一個社區地圖，現在終於有空開始進行!以我長期在台北居住多年的通化夜市一帶為中心，將我親身的總總經歷，其中的日常與古怪都融入畫中，並樂在其中。雖然我曾經在畫作中包含人物，這將是我首次加入交通的元素，畢竟這是台北生活日常的一部份。我想我會再製作一份像我多年前繪製的Taipei Trail Map一樣，有詳細文字解說的地圖。我希望能夠以肖像畫的精神，勾勒出台北社區的生命故事。期待在接下來的這幾個月和大家分享此計畫的進度!去年我在為畫蒐集素材時，上傳了這支無俚頭的影片到Instagram:通化南端有一座牆，看起來像80年代電玩"Space Invaders"!

    I've been planning a very local scale drawing for some time now. I finally have some time to get started properly on it! It'll be focused on the Tonghua Night Market neighborhood where I've lived for all my time in Taipei. I'm having fun adding all the things I've experienced here over the years, from the everyday to the odd. While I've added people to my drawings before this is the first time I've decided to add traffic. It is after all a part of life here. I think I'll make a text version too in the same way I did with the Taipei Trail Map from years ago. I'd like it to become a portrait of a Taipei neighborhood, full of the stories that make up life here. Excited to share the progress over the next few months! Video is a silly thing I put on Instagram last year when I started gathering stuff to put on this drawing. There's a wall at the south end of Tonghua that looks like the Space Invaders videogame from the 1980's!
